History of Armenia

Armenia's history spans thousands of years, making it one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It was home to one of the first Christian nations in 301 AD. Throughout history, Armenia faced invasions, foreign domination, and genocides, notably the Armenian Genocide of 1915 by the Ottoman Empire. Despite struggles, Armenia maintained its cultural identity, language, and traditions. In 1991, Armenia gained independence from the Soviet Union. Today, it continues to preserve its rich heritage while navigating modern challenges, balancing its ancient history with ongoing development.
