Historical negationism
Historical negationism is the deliberate distortion or denial of established facts about historical events. It often involves dismissing or minimizing well-documented evidence to serve particular ideological, political, or personal agendas. This practice can distort public understanding, undermine historical truth, and sometimes justify harmful actions or ideologies. It is different from healthy debate or reexamination of history; it is an intentional act of denying or altering facts to influence perceptions of the past.
