Historia vs. Fabula

In storytelling, "Historia" refers to the actual sequence of events as they happened in reality or are presented as historical fact. "Fabula," on the other hand, is the raw chronological order of events as they occur in the narrative's timeline. Think of it as the story's true timeline (fabula) versus how the story is told or arranged in the narrative (helper as in a told sequence). For example, a crime story might be told non-chronologically (flashbacks), emphasizing storytelling effects (fabula) over the actual order of events (historia).
