histopathological techniques
Histopathological techniques involve examining tissue samples under a microscope to diagnose disease. The process starts with collecting a small piece of tissue (biopsy), which is then preserved in chemicals to prevent decay. The tissue is embedded in a supporting medium, sliced into very thin sections, and stained with dyes to highlight different structures. These prepared slides are examined under a microscope by a pathologist, who looks for abnormalities or signs of disease, such as cancer. This approach provides vital information about tissue health and helps guide accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
