Hirsch Laub
Hirsch Laub's syndrome is a rare congenital condition characterized by the absence or underdevelopment of the lacrimal glands, which produce tears. As a result, individuals often experience dry eyes and may have difficulty producing enough tears to keep the eyes moist, leading to discomfort and potential eye infections. The condition can also be associated with other developmental abnormalities, but primarily it impacts tear production. Diagnosis typically involves clinical examination and imaging. While there is no cure, management focuses on alleviating symptoms through artificial tears and regular eye care.
