hipótesis alternativa
The hipótesis alternativa, or alternative hypothesis, is a statement in a scientific test that suggests there is a real effect or difference, opposite to the null hypothesis which assumes no effect. It's what researchers aim to find evidence for through their data. For example, if testing a new drug, the null hypothesis might claim the drug has no effect, while the alternative hypothesis suggests it does. When the data shows enough evidence, we may reject the null hypothesis in favor of the alternative, indicating that the effect observed is likely true and not just due to chance.
