Hinduism on Afterlife
In Hinduism, the afterlife is closely tied to the concepts of karma and reincarnation. After death, the soul (atman) is believed to undergo a cycle of rebirth based on the actions and intentions of its past lives. This cycle, known as samsara, continues until the soul achieves moksha, or liberation, which is the realization of oneness with the divine (Brahman). The transition process involves judgment and the potential for different realms of existence, influenced by one’s deeds. Ultimately, the goal is to escape the cycle of reincarnation and attain eternal peace and unity with the divine.
