Himalayan Tahr
The Himalayan Tahr is a wild goat native to the rugged mountain regions of Nepal, India, and Bhutan. It has a sturdy build with a thick, reddish-brown to dark brown coat, helping it survive cold mountain climates. Adapted for steep, rocky terrain, it climbs with agility using sturdy hooves. Tahrs are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, shrubs, and mosses. They live in groups and are excellent climbers, which helps them avoid predators. Their specialized adaptations make them well-suited to harsh mountain environments, contributing to their conservation as they face threats from habitat loss and hunting.
