Highland Light Infantry

The Highland Light Infantry was a British Army infantry regiment from Scotland, established in 1881 and disbanded in 1959. Known for its connection to the Scottish Highlands, it primarily recruited from that region. The regiment served in numerous conflicts, including both World Wars, and was recognized for its discipline and bravery. As part of the British military, it wore traditional Highland dress for parades and ceremonial duties. In 1959, it merged with other regiments to become the Royal Highland Fusiliers, continuing its legacy within the British Army's structure.
