Hieronymites refer to members of the Hieronymite order, a religious community of monks and nuns that originated in Spain during the late 14th century. Named after Saint Jerome (Hieronymus in Latin), who translated the Bible into Latin, they focus on prayer, study, and community living. Their mission is to dedicate their lives to spiritual growth and service, often supporting religious scholarship and preserving historical religious sites. The order played a significant role in medieval Spain, contributing to religious life, education, and cultural preservation.
