Heterogeneous mixture
A heterogeneous mixture is a combination of different substances where each component remains distinct and can often be separated physically. Unlike a homogeneous mixture, which appears uniform throughout, a heterogeneous mixture has visible differences or layers. Examples include salad, trail mix, or soil, where you can see and identify individual parts. These mixtures are not chemically bonded; instead, the substances are simply combined, maintaining their original properties. The composition can vary in different parts of the mixture, making it different from a uniform solution.
