Heron's fountain
Heron's fountain is an ancient device that uses the principles of fluid pressure and gravity to create continuous water movement. It consists of interconnected tanks and pipes arranged in such a way that water flows from a higher tank into a lower one, which then causes pressure differences. These pressures drive water through a tube and out of a nozzle, producing a fountain-like jet. As water flows, the system maintains a cycle thanks to the balance of pressure and gravity. Though it appears to operate magically, it's fundamentally based on the physics of communicating vessels and fluid statics.
