Hernando de Talavera
Hernando de Talavera (1428-1507) was a Spanish cleric and politician, best known for his role as the first Archbishop of Granada following the Reconquista, when Catholic monarchs Ferdinand and Isabella captured the city from Muslim rule in 1492. He played a significant part in the religious and cultural transformation of Granada, advocating for peaceful relations between Christians and Muslims, while also promoting the conversion of Muslims to Christianity.
