Heritage Language

A heritage language is the language spoken by members of a community or family based on their cultural or ancestral origins. It often reflects the linguistic and cultural traditions passed down through generations, especially among those who have migrated or are living outside their homeland. While a person might have learned the heritage language at home, they may not be fully proficient in it.
