Heritage and history
Heritage refers to the traditions, values, customs, and artifacts passed down through generations, shaping a community’s identity and sense of continuity. It includes tangible items like buildings, art, and historical sites, as well as intangible elements like language, practices, and beliefs. History, on the other hand, is the study and record of past events, people, and societies. While heritage is about what is inherited and preserved, history is about understanding and interpreting what happened in the past. Together, they help us appreciate our cultural roots and learn from previous experiences.
