Her Majesty's Government

Her Majesty's Government refers to the collective organization that runs the United Kingdom, led by the Prime Minister and composed of ministers responsible for different departments. It operates under the authority of the monarch, currently Queen Elizabeth II (or the reigning monarch), but in practice, the government’s decisions are made by elected officials. The government creates laws, manages public services, and implements policies, all within the framework of parliamentary democracy. Essentially, it is the executive branch that governs the country day-to-day, supported by civil servants and accountable to Parliament and the people.
