Henry I

Henry I was King of England from 1100 to 1135. The youngest son of William the Conqueror, he established a strong and efficient government, creating a system of justice known as the "King’s Court." Henry's reign is noted for his efforts to maintain peace and order, as well as for administrative reforms, including the introduction of the Exchequer for managing finances. He also expanded his influence through marriage and diplomacy. Henry’s death led to a succession crisis, ultimately resulting in civil war known as the Anarchy, highlighting the fragility of his legacy.
