Henri Padé was a mathematician known for developing Padé approximants, which are methods to approximate complex functions with rational functions (fractions of polynomials). Unlike Taylor series, which are infinite sums that can be limited in accuracy outside a small range, Padé approximants often provide better approximations over a broader domain.
