Hemispheric Lateralization

Hemispheric lateralization refers to the idea that certain functions and skills tend to be dominant in one side of the brain—either the left or the right hemisphere. For example, language processing and logical thinking are often associated with the left side, while spatial awareness, creativity, and recognizing patterns are linked to the right. Although both sides communicate and work together, this specialization helps the brain efficiently manage different tasks. Understanding this can explain why people may excel in certain areas and how brain injuries can affect specific functions.
