Hemisphere
The term "hemisphere" refers to half of the Earth's surface divided by imaginary lines. The most common division is into the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere, separated by the Equator. There's also the Eastern Hemisphere and Western Hemisphere, divided by the Prime Meridian and the 180th meridian. These divisions help us understand geography, climate, and time zones by organizing the world into manageable sections. For example, when it's daytime in North America, it's nighttime in parts of Asia, as they are in different hemispheres. Hemispheres are useful for navigation, studying Earth's features, and understanding global relationships.
