Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy
Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy is a condition caused by brain injury before or during birth, affecting muscle control and movement on one side of the body—either the left or right. It results from damage to the brain’s motor areas, leading to weakness, stiffness, or involuntary movements on the affected side. People with this form of CP often have difficulty with coordination, balance, and fine motor skills, but their intellectual abilities can be unaffected. Early intervention, therapy, and adaptive strategies can help improve mobility and independence.
