Hemianopia

Hemianopia is a visual condition where a person loses half of their normal visual field in one or both eyes, typically caused by brain injury or stroke. For example, they may not see objects on the left or right side, depending on the affected brain area. Despite this partial vision loss, their eyes are usually healthy. It’s not a problem with the eyes themselves but rather how the brain processes what the eyes see. People with hemianopia often develop strategies to adapt, such as turning their head more to see the hidden side.
