Helmet Therapy
Helmet therapy is a treatment for infants with irregular head shapes, such as plagiocephaly or brachycephaly. It involves carefully designed helmets that gently guide the baby's skull to grow into a more typical shape. The helmets are custom-made based on 3D scans and are usually worn for several months, often starting around 4 to 6 months of age when the skull is most moldable. Helmet therapy is most effective when started early and is used alongside repositioning techniques to encourage normal head development and improve symmetry.
