Helium-3 Reactor Technology

Helium-3 reactor technology uses the isotope helium-3 as fuel to produce energy through nuclear fusion, merging helium-3 nuclei to release significant power. Unlike traditional nuclear reactors that rely on uranium or plutonium, helium-3 fusion produces minimal radioactive waste and fewer safety concerns. When helium-3 nuclei fuse, they emit charged particles that can be efficiently converted into electricity. This technology promises a cleaner, safer, and abundant energy source, especially since helium-3 is rare on Earth but more available from lunar mining or outer space. However, practical helium-3 fusion reactors are still under research and development.
