Heir to the Throne (Crown Prince)

A heir to the throne, often called a crown prince or princess, is the person who is next in line to become monarch (king or queen) of a country with a monarchy. Their position is determined by laws of succession, which can prioritize bloodline, age, or other rules. The heir is usually the eldest child of the current monarch, but in some cases, other relatives may be next in line.
