Heider's equations
Heider's equations describe how people’s perceptions of relationships change when they add new information. They show that the strength and nature of relationships—such as friend, enemy, or neutral—adjust based on interactions. For example, if someone you like does something bad, your positive feelings toward them might weaken. These equations mathematically model how opinions and attitudes evolve over time, helping us understand social dynamics and how attitudes influence our perceptions of others.
