Hebron Protocol

The Hebron Protocol, established in 1997, is an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority aimed at easing tensions and improving daily life in Hebron, a city in the West Bank. It involves mutual steps: Israel reduces military presence and removes some settlers from certain areas, while the Palestinians agree to prevent violence and maintain order. The protocol is designed to allow both communities to coexist more peacefully by sharing access and managing security, balancing coexistence with security concerns in a historically tense and complex environment.
