HeartSafe Community
A HeartSafe Community is an area dedicated to improving emergency response for cardiac emergencies, like sudden cardiac arrests. It typically involves placing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in public places, training residents and first responders in CPR and AED use, and coordinating EMS efforts. The goal is to increase survival chances by ensuring help is quickly available when someone’s heart suddenly stops. By creating a network of prepared individuals and accessible devices, a HeartSafe Community reduces response times and saves lives during these critical moments.
