Heart Sound

Heart sounds are the noises generated by the heart during its beating cycle, primarily caused by the closing of heart valves. The "lub" (first sound) occurs when the mitral and tricuspid valves close at the start of ventricular contraction, while the "dup" (second sound) happens when the aortic and pulmonary valves close at the end of each beat. These sounds help healthcare providers assess heart function and detect irregularities. Heart sounds can vary based on health; abnormal sounds like murmurs may indicate issues such as valve problems or abnormal blood flow.
