heart cessation
Heart cessation, also known as cardiac arrest, occurs when the heart suddenly stops pumping blood effectively. This halts the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the brain and other vital organs, which can quickly lead to unconsciousness and death if not treated promptly. It is usually caused by electrical disturbances in the heart, such as arrhythmias, or severe damage from conditions like a heart attack. Immediate response with CPR and defibrillation can restore normal heart rhythm and improve survival chances.
