Hayden's Rule

Hayden’s Rule is a guideline in genetics predicting how certain traits, especially those linked to sex chromosomes, are inherited. It states that if a trait is caused by a gene on the X chromosome and the mother carries it, there's a 50% chance her son will have the trait (since males have only one X chromosome). Conversely, if a trait is caused by a gene on the Y chromosome, all male offspring of an affected father will inherit it. This rule helps in understanding inheritance patterns of sex-linked traits and predicting their occurrence in future generations.
