Hawara
Hawara is an ancient Egyptian archaeological site located near modern-day Cairo. It was a prominent city during Egypt’s Middle Kingdom and is especially famous for the Pyramid of Amenemhat III, a well-preserved step pyramid used as a royal tomb. The site also features extensive burial complexes, temples, and a labyrinth of tunnels known as the Hawara Labyrinth, which was used for ceremonial and funerary purposes.
