Hassall's corpuscles

Hassall's corpuscles are specialized structures located inside the thymus gland, which is part of our immune system. They appear as round or oval clusters made of tightly packed cells. Their main role is to help develop and mature T-cells, a type of white blood cell essential for fighting infections. Hassall's corpuscles also produce substances that promote the immune system's regulation, preventing it from attacking the body's own tissues. Although their exact function is still studied, they are important for maintaining a healthy and balanced immune response.
