Hashimoto Okiie
Hashimoto Okiie is a rare, temporary complication of Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the thyroid gland. In this complication, the immune response causes a sudden, severe swelling of the thyroid, resulting in fluctuating levels of thyroid hormones. Patients may experience a rapid or irregular heartbeat, tremors, and anxiety, often resembling a thyroid storm but with transient symptoms. It typically resolves on its own or with medical treatment. Recognizing Hashimoto Okiie is important for timely management of thyroid function and symptoms in affected patients.
