Hashimoto Okiie

Hashimoto Okiie is a rare, temporary complication of Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition where the immune system attacks the thyroid gland. In this complication, the immune response causes a sudden, severe swelling of the thyroid, resulting in fluctuating levels of thyroid hormones. Patients may experience a rapid or irregular heartbeat, tremors, and anxiety, often resembling a thyroid storm but with transient symptoms. It typically resolves on its own or with medical treatment.
