Hash Rate
Hash rate refers to the speed at which a computer or mining hardware can process calculations to solve complex mathematical problems in cryptocurrency networks like Bitcoin. These problems validate transactions and secure the network. A higher hash rate means more calculations are performed every second, increasing the chances of successfully mining new coins. Essentially, hash rate is a measure of mining power; the greater it is, the more likely a miner is to earn rewards. It’s expressed in hashes per second (H/s) or higher units like terahashes per second (TH/s).
