Harrison's H4 refers to the H4 visa, a permit granted to dependents—like spouses and children—of those holding H1B work visas in the United States. While H1B holders are authorized to work, H4 visa holders initially had limited rights, mainly living in the U.S. with their family. However, since 2015, certain H4 visa holders, especially spouses of H1B workers who have an approved green card application, can request work authorization.
