Happiest Baby method
The Happiest Baby method is a technique designed to soothe and calm infants by mimicking the environment of the womb. It involves five key steps: swaddling to provide security; gentle rhythmic sounds like white noise or heartbeat; rocking or swinging motions; placing the baby on their side or stomach (under supervision); and offering consistent, gentle sucking, such as breastfeeding or a pacifier. These signals help trigger the calming "calming reflex," reducing crying and helping babies feel secure. The method is aimed at improving sleep and reducing stress for both baby and parents through gentle, predictable stimuli.
