Hanging Church (Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church)

The Hanging Church, officially known as Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, is a historic Christian church in Cairo, Egypt, dating back to the 3rd or 4th century. It’s called "Hanging" because part of it is built above a gatehouse of the Babylon Fortress, creating the impression that it’s suspended.
