Han Shu (Book of Han)
The Han Shu (Book of Han) is an ancient Chinese historical text written around the 1st century CE, documenting the history of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BCE–23 CE). Compiled by the scholar Liu Xin and others, it combines official records, biographies, and essays to provide a detailed account of the dynasty’s politics, culture, and notable figures. It serves as one of the primary sources for understanding early imperial China's history and governance, offering insight into political ideologies, societal changes, and important events during that period.
