Halo orbit
A Halo orbit is a unique, stable path around a point in space called a Lagrange point, where gravitational forces balance. Imagine a spacecraft gently looping around these points in a three-dimensional, halo-shaped trajectory that keeps it near a celestial body or between two bodies. Because of the gravitational balances, the spacecraft can stay in this orbit with minimal fuel. Halo orbits are valuable for space missions, enabling continuous observation or communication with other spacecraft or planets, especially in areas where direct approach is challenging.
