Halo M Covenants

The Covenant is a coalition of alien species in the "Halo" universe, uniting around a shared religious belief that worships the Forerunners and their technology. They seek to activate the Halo rings, which they believe will ascensionally transform them but are actually super-weapons capable of destroying all life in the galaxy. The Covenant has a hierarchical structure with various species serving specific roles. They often serve as antagonists in the series, engaging in military campaigns against humanity, whom they view as unworthy or heretical.
