Halaala
Halaala is a process in Islamic law used to dissolve a marriage when it is no longer sustainable. It involves the wife voluntarily returning her dowry to her husband, signifying her wish to end the marriage. This act allows the marriage to be officially annulled, enabling both partners to marry others if they choose. Halaala is considered a last resort, intended to prevent hardship, and must be conducted transparently and with mutual consent, adhering to Islamic principles. It provides a permissible way to address certain marital conflicts within the framework of Islamic law.
