Haiti, officially known as the Republic of Haiti, is a country located on the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean, sharing it with the Dominican Republic. It is the first post-colonial independent Black-led nation, gaining independence from France in 1804. Haiti has a rich history, vibrant culture, and unique Creole language. Despite its resilience, it faces challenges like economic difficulties, political instability, and recovery from natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes.
