Hair Growth Cycle
The hair growth cycle consists of three stages. The anagen phase is when hair actively grows; this can last years. The catagen phase is a brief transitional period where growth slows and follicles shrink. Lastly, the telogen phase is a resting period, typically a few months, after which hair naturally sheds and a new cycle begins. This cycle repeats continuously, ensuring ongoing hair renewal. Factors like genetics, health, and age influence the duration and health of each phase, affecting overall hair density and growth rate.
