Haemon is a character from Greek mythology, the son of King Creon of Thebes. He is engaged to Antigone, who defies Creon’s orders by burying her brother Polynices. Haemon advocates for compassionate leadership and believes that laws should be flexible to consider moral and human concerns. He tries to persuade his father to show mercy, emphasizing the importance of understanding and compassion.
