Haben Girma is an accomplished disability rights advocate, lawyer, and the first deaf-blind graduate of Harvard Law School. Born in 1988 to Eritrean parents, she lost her vision and hearing due to a childhood illness. Girma works to promote accessibility and inclusivity for people with disabilities, emphasizing the importance of technology and advocacy. She has received numerous awards for her efforts, including the White House Champions of Change award. Through her public speaking and writing, she inspires others to break barriers and fosters a more equitable society for all individuals, regardless of their abilities.
