Guyon's Canal Syndrome
Guyon's Canal Syndrome is a condition caused by pressure or injury to the ulnar nerve as it passes through a narrow passage in the wrist called Guyon's canal. This can lead to numbness, tingling, and weakness in the ring and little fingers, as well as difficulty with grip and fine movements. It often results from repetitive wrist movements, trauma, or swelling. Treatment may include rest, splinting, or, in some cases, surgery to relieve pressure and restore nerve function. Early diagnosis and management are important to prevent permanent nerve damage.
