
Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden
Gustavus Adolphus was a Swedish king and military leader in the early 17th century, renowned for transforming Sweden into a major European power. He modernized the army with innovative tactics and technology, helping Sweden assert influence during the Thirty Years’ War (1618–1648). He is often called the "Father of Modern Warfare" for his strategic innovations. Unfortunately, he was killed in battle in 1632. His leadership left a lasting impact on European military practices and shifted the balance of power in Europe during his time.
