Gurudara

A Gurudwara is a place of worship for Sikhs, where they gather to pray, sing hymns, and reflect on spiritual teachings. It serves as a community center that promotes spiritual growth, equality, and service to others. Typically featuring a central prayer hall, it often has a distinctive dome and a flagpole called a Nishan Sahib. The Guru Granth Sahib, Sikhism’s holy scripture, is treated with great respect and placed on a special throne. Gurudwaras are open to all, regardless of background, emphasizing inclusivity, humility, and devotion. They also often provide free meals (langar) to everyone.
