Gulper eel
The Gulper eel is a deep-sea fish known for its large, expandable mouth and small body. It resides in the dark depths of oceans, often thousands of meters below the surface. Its most distinctive feature is a highly extendable jaw that allows it to swallow prey much larger than its head. The eel also has a bioluminescent lure at the end of its dorsal fin, which it uses to attract prey in the darkness. Adapted to extreme pressure and cold, the Gulper eel's unique features help it survive in the deep-sea environment where food is scarce.
